John Baird

John Baird, surviving a background in advertising creative departments, in Sydney and South East Asia, has a long held interest in graphic design and visual communication with a focus on all things “beat”- zoomed in to the nexus of beat book cover design and their content-the-what the cover art/photograph/design/iconography says to/for -the -reader. The large volume of publications/versions of for example the output of Kerouac provide a domain of study. Add to this the variations of title translation- from English to Dutch for example – On the Road-Opweg-Onderweg.

John is currently preparing a monograph/presentation (meta media) for an illustrators/ visual communicators audience .
