Véronique Lane

Véronique Lane holds a PhD in French Literature, Art, and Film from the Universities of Montreal and Paris Diderot – Paris VII (2012). She has taught Comparative Literature as well as 19th and 20th Century French Literature, Critical Thought, Theatre and Film at Vassar College and Wesleyan University in France and the US, and she has been Postdoctoral Fellow in the Research Institute for the Humanities at Keele University in the UK. Her publications include articles and book chapters on Apollinaire, Artaud, Céline and Genet and she is the author of The French Genealogy of the Beat Generation: Burroughs, Ginsberg and Kerouac’s Appropriations of Modern Literature, from Rimbaud to Michaux (London: Bloomsbury, 2017).
