Viktoria Grivina graduated from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University with an MA in English and German languages. Her MA thesis was on “Concepts of Good and Evil in the works of C.S.Lewis and Philip Pullman”. She is now writing a thesis on William S.Burroughs and transgression. She is interested in linking Burroughs’ legacy to modern authors and counterculture. The working title of her thesis is “Naked Lunch in context of modern transgressive English fiction”.
