The first of its kind, the Out of the Shadows conference focused specifically on the women of the Beat Generation, exploring their work and elevating their voices. The three day event was organized by Frida Forsgren and Michael J. Prince and took place at the University of Agder in Kristiansand Norway September 2-4, 2013. Highlights from the rich program include keynote presentations from Polina Mackay and Mary Kerr and a tour of the Wennesland Collection led by Frida Forsgren.
