Alet Heezemans

Alet Heezemans graduated with an MA in American Studies from the Radboud Universiteit in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, and wrote her MA thesis on female Beat authors and feminism. She is interested in the Beat Generation in the context of American history in general, and specifically in the roles of female authors such as Diane di Prima, Joyce Johnson and Bonnie Bremser/Brenda Frazer and the African-American LeRoi Jones/Amiri Baraka. Since her graduation she has been working at a publishing house.
