Annalisa Marí Pegrum obtained her degree in Spanish Philology in 2010 at the University of Barcelona, as well as a degree in Translation and Interpreting Studies in 2012 at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
In 2015, after years of non-academic research, she translated and edited Beat Attitude, a bilingual poetry anthology of beat women -Spanish translations alongside the originals- which was published by Bartleby in Spain. The French version of the book -translated jointly with French poet Sébastien Gavignet- was published in may 2018 by Éditions Bruno Doucey. It has sold over 3000 copies and has now been republished in a second edition which includes the translation of The Love Book, by Lenore Kandel.
A Spanish translation of Joanne Kyger’s The Japan and India Journals was translated by Annalisa and published by Varasek in 2019. She is currently working on further translations of the female writers of the beat generation into Spanish and French.
Annalisa also writes multilingual poetry. She has performed in countless poetry slams and poetry festivals around the world (Spain, Belgium, Portugal, France, Cyprus, etc.) as well as organized a series of successful poetry events in Majorca, her hometown.
