I’m currently enrolled in my second year of the Social Sciences PhD Program of the University of Salamanca, Spain, where I also earned my Master’s Degree in Translation and Intercultural Mediation in 2022.

My research topic is related to the Beat Generation, especially to those many poets who were rather put aside by the huge popularity of Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg, such as Jack Hirschman, Lew Welch, Bob Kaufman, among others. I’m exploring the impact of these less known poets in the editorial industry of Spain through their translated works and participation in anthologies.

With my research, I intend to enlarge the legacy of the Beat Generation in Spanish, and to include the perspectives of the less visible Beats on topics that  are still relevant nowadays, such as the anti-war movements and sexual diversity.
