Greg Bevan

Greg Bevan is Professor of English at Fukuoka University in Fukuoka, Japan. The focus of his research is twentieth-century American literature, and in particular the writer and “elder statesman of the Beats” Paul Bowles. He has contributed chapters to Paul Bowles, The New Generation: Do You Bowles? (Amsterdam: Rodopi, 2014) and Reflections on Narrative: Interdisciplinary Storytelling (Oxford: Interdisciplinary Press, 2013). He also contributed a study of the novelist Richard Ford to Postmodern America: American Novels of the 1980s (Tokyo: Kaibunsha, 2009), and his own fiction has appeared in Northwest Review, Salt Hill, and other American literary journals.

Greg Bevan est professeur d’anglais à l’université de Fukuoka au Japon. Ses recherches portent principalement sur la littérature américaine du XX^e siècle, et en particulier sur l’écrivain et « ancien homme d’État des Beats », Paul Bowles.
