Halessa F. Regis is an English and Literature Teacher in the Greater London (UK) holding a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature with a focus on Cultural Studies (PPGI/CED/UFSC), a BA in English Language and Literature with a focus on Applied Linguistics and ELF (2013) and a License to teach English Language and Literature issued by DLLE/CED/UFSC in 2014. She is also interpreter, poet and writer. Author of the poetry collection Poelíticas (2018) and the MA dissertation “Feminist Counterculture and Race in Hettie Jones’ Writing” (2017). In addition to her book and dissertation, she has published articles in the literature field both in Portuguese and English. Her research interests encompass the legacy of the Beat Generation Women, Feminist Theory, Gender Studies and American Literature of the Post-War Era. E-mail: [email protected].
