Hassan Melehy

Hassan Melehy is Professor of French and Adjunct Professor of Comparative Literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he has taught since 2004. He is the author of Kerouac: Language, Poetics, and Territory (Bloomsbury 2016), the first study of the role of Kerouac’s French-English bilingualism in his writing. Prof. Melehy’s many other publications include studies of European Renaissance philosophy and literature, cinema, and critical theory, including the work of Derrida, Deleuze, Foucault, and Rancière. Prof. Melehy also publishes poetry.
