Jimmy Fazzino is a lecturer in the Literature Department and Writing Program at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he teaches courses on American Literature, the Beat Generation, and the international avant-garde. He is the author of World Beats: Beat Generation Writing and the Worlding of U.S. Literature (Dartmouth, 2016) and has contributed essays to The Transnational Beat Generation (ed. Nancy Grace and Jennie Skerl), Beat Drama: Playwrights and Performances of the “Howl” Generation (ed. Deborah Geis), and the Journal of Beat Studies (ed. Ronna Johnson and Nancy Grace). His current research projects concern the lives and work of Henry Miller and Bob Dylan.
