John Long

John Long is a writer and Professor Emeritus at the University of Toulouse. Born in Chicago, he earned his BA at the University of Wisconsin in 1963 and moved permanently to France in 1972. He received his doctorate in literature from the Sorbonne with a thesis based on the works of Kerouac, Burrroughs and Ginsberg. This was later published in English as Drugs and the ‘Beats’ (2005).
