John T. Davis

John T. Davis is internationally recognized as one of Ireland’s foremost independent documentary filmmakers and cinematographers. He has directed over twenty films, including Shellshock Rock (1979), Route 66 (1985), Hobo (1991), The Uncle Jack (1996) and Tailwind (2007), and is the recipient of the New York Film and TV Festival Silver Award, the Banff TV Festival Special Jury Award, the San Sebastian Film Festival Young Audience Award, the Festival of New Irish Cinema Best Feature Award and the Hong Kong and Macau European Film Festival Critics’ Choice Award. Major exhibitions of his photographic work have been mounted in England and Ireland. John is also an accomplished singer-songwriter and has performed in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil, Canada and the United States.
