Kitti Jakobovits is a Hungarian counselling psychologist and a bibliotherapist. She got her degrees at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest and at University of Pécs. She works with groups and individuals as well and in 2021 she wrote a book in Hungarian about bibliotherapy and other common fields of psychology and literature. She’s also a PhD student at University of Pécs, at the Theoretical Psychoanalysis School. Her research field is about the psychology of creativity in an existential-phenomenological aspect, she studies the psychological processes around literary work, how artists feel, think and work, and what connections can be between writing and mental health. To answer these questions now she focuses on the beat generation. There are a lot of interesting things about these authors’ minds and lives which are ideal for investigating the existential ‘writer-psychology’.
