Kurt Jacobsen

Kurt Jacobsen is a research associate at the University of Chicago, a journalist and a documentary filmmaker. He also has held visiting appointments at the London School of Economics and Imperial College London. He is co-director and producer of, among other documentaries, “American Road” and of the forthcoming “Clancy Sigal: A Transatlantic Portrait.” He edited a special issue on “The American Road” for Logos: A Journal of Modern Society & Culture (Fall 2011) and contributed an essay “Knowing The Score: Road Movie Soundtracks and Cinematic Verities ” to Gordon Slethaug, ed. The Music of the American Road (Bloomsbury) forthcoming.
