Larissa is from Brazil and works as an English and French teacher, writer and zinester. Her interest in the Beat generation started in 2014 after started reading the main works of the male writers but then she developed a huge interest in studying the female participants of the movements, whether they wrote books or not. She says “I confess that it all started with my deep fascination for Joan Vollmer. I created the three websites below (another Brazilian writer contributes a bit to them) dedicated to spreading the word about female Beats here in Brazil and recently, in English, so others can appreciate my writing as well.”
