Lee Ann Brown is a poet, curator, editor and educator.
Her 1989 debut book, Polyverse cites some Beat influence along with many other vectors. She has taught poetry for over thirty years, and is a long-time visiting faculty at the Naropa Summer Poetics Program’s Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics where she led a Poets Theater Lab in collaboration with Tony Torn. She leads Tender Buttons Press which published Dodie Bellamy’s Cunt-Ups and now the newly re-released Cunt Norton, as well as Bernadette Mayer’s Sonnets and Anne Waldman’s Not A Male Pseudonym. She was the 2017-2018 Judith E Wilson Poetry Fellow at Cambridge university where she co-curated the Polyphonic Festival of Poets Theater and Song at Cambridge University with her collaborator Tony Torn.
