Luci Collin is a Brazilian writer, professor, researcher and translator (Universidade Federal do Paraná) deeply interested in the Beat production. His MA dissertation is on Gary Snyder (a dear friend) and he has organized an anthology of his poems translated into Brazilian Portuguese. His doctoral thesis is on Gertrude Stein and he has translated some of her writings; besides, he has also translated (all of them are published) Vachel Lindsay, e. e. cummings (The enormous Room), Jerome Rothenberg (another dear friend), Irish poet Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin (Post doc), Irish poet Moya Cannon (post doc), Amiri Baraka and some others. I’m presently researching women of the BG.
