Maria Clara Dunck Santos is a Brazilian scholar writing a thesis on Diane di Prima, focusing on the study of space in fiction and feminist geography. Her MBA dissertation was about Jack Kerouack in a comparative politic analysis with the literature of the Brazilian writer Nicolas Behr.
She is currently studying at Universidade de Brasília, in Brasília, Brazil.
She is also a poet, and one of the mediators of a book club called Leia Mulheres (Reading Women), a project placed in over 90 cities in Brazil. The mission is to encourage more people to read literature produced by women, especially those outside the canon.
