Michael J. Prince

Michael J. Prince is an associate professor of American literature and culture at the University of Agder in Kristiansand, Norway. His areas of scholarly interest include science fiction, comics, popular music, film, and the Beats. He has recently co-edited a book with Frida Forsgren, Out of the Shadows: Beat Women are Not Beaten Women (Portal 2015), and his book Adapting the Beat Poets: Burroughs, Ginsberg and Kerouac on Screen will be published this year by Rowman & Littlefield. He is on the board of the Nordic Network of Comics Research (NNCORE). He is also the main composer and writer for the performance project, The Slotted Spoons.
