Peter Cockelbergh

Peter Cockelbergh is a high school teacher, scholar and translator. He’s the editor of Pierre Joris—Cartographies of the In-between (2011, Litteraria Pragensia), with Pierre Joris of A Voice Full of Cities. The Collected Essays of Robert Kelly (2014, ContraMundum), and with Pierre Joris and Joel Newberger of A City Full of Voices. Essays on the Work of Robert Kelly (2020, ContraMundum). He has translated work by Boris Groys and, with Bas Matthynssens, by Alain Badiou and Laurent de Sutter. More general research interests include 20th and 21st-century American, French and Dutch poetry & poetics, and avant-garde & modernism studies. As such, he is particularly interested in Beat traces and trails in the works of Pierre Joris.
