Robert W. Jones II

Robert W. Jones is currently in the first year of his PhD at the University of Leicester. His research is focused on William S. Burroughs’ work from approximately 1959-1972. He is presenting “Visceral Landscapes: The Somatic Philosophy of William S. Burroughs” at the 56th annual BAAS conference in April 2011.   

Robert’s research interests are: the life and work of William S. Burroughs; Aesthetics; Film; Allen Ginsberg; Post World War II ex-pat Authors; Brion Gysin; Music; Wilhelm Reich; Somaesthetics; American Pragmatism; Cybernetics; 20th Century British and American Literature; Literatures in Translation.
