Symantha Jones

Symantha Jones (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist, researcher, and assistant professor with an MFA in Visual Art from Florida Atlantic University. Her current research and creative output utilize a hauntological lens to focus on the narrative, mundane elements of the home to communicate the visceral nature of memory. She combines cast-off materials in various mediums, from collage to sculpture. Through a cumulative process, the broken, marked, and imperfect pieces of a spectral history are added to Jones’ collection of imperfect homes, strange and sweet, but haunted.
