Théophile Aries

Théophile Aries is a musician based in New York. He has also translated Oliver Harris’ The Yage Letters Redux into French and contributed to the book Naked Lunch@50 with an essay on ‘Burroughs´ Visionary Lunch’. He attended the symposium on Burroughs in Paris in 2009, where he and his brother played, among others, their song ‘Dr. Benway’. He is currently working on new music and a fiction book based on Burroughs’ relationship with Ian Sommerville.

Théophile Aries est un musicien basé à New York. Il a traduit en français pour l’éditeur Christian Bourgois le livre The Yage Letters Redux édité et complété par Oliver Harris. Il a également publié un essai intitulé « Le festin visionnaire de Burroughs » dans le livre Naked Lunch@50. Il a participé au symposium sur Burroughs en 2009 à Paris, où lui et son frère ont joué, entre autres, leur chanson Dr. Benway. Il travaille actuellement sur de nouvelles compositions et sur un livre de fiction basé sur la relation entre Burroughs et de Ian Sommerville.
