Jimmy Fazzino is a lecturer in the Literature and Writing programs at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he recently completed a doctoral dissertation on Beat writing in world contexts. Recent and forthcoming publications include contributions to The Transnational Beat Generation (ed. Nancy Grace and Jennie Skerl) and A Century of Paul Bowles: Facets of a Multi-Artist (ed. Tyrus Miller and Irene Herrmann). His essay on Brion Gysin’s novel The Process appears in the inaugural issue of the Journal of Beat Studies.
