Stewart Smith is a Graduate Student at the University of Strathclyde. His research interests include: Beat writing; little magazines and small presses; Concrete Poetry; Sound poetry; cultural materialism.
He has presented ‘Little magazines & Justified Sinners in 1960s Edinburgh Transgression & Its Limits’ at the University of Stirling (May 2010) and ‘Little magazines and the avant-garde in 1960s Scotland Poets and Publishers: Circulating Avant-Garde Poetry 1945-2010’ at the Universite du Maine, Le Mans, France (October 2010).
