Tina Orsini

Tina Orsini is an Assistant Professor of English at Kingsborough C.C., City University of New York (CUNY) and the Head of the (New)Adjunct office for the department. She received her Ed.D. from Columbia University and has studied at New York University, Long Island University, Sarah Lawrence College (in Florence, Italy), Brooklyn College, and the Universita’ di Pescara in Italy. Her poetry has been published in Voices in Italian Americana and her City-as-Text articles in a National Honors Institute journal. Her numerous awards include: the Yeats Scholarship in Sligo, Ireland and two National Endowment for the Humanities awards to Harvard and Columbia University.
After twenty-six years of teaching in private schools in the United States and Switzerland, in Honors, AP, and IB programs, she began teaching at CUNY and had been there for fifteen years in the English Department and the Honors Program.
Her research interests are: Feminist Poststructuralism, Deconstruction and Postmodernism, The Politics of English, Interdisciplinary Studies, Mentoring, Service and Civic Engagement, Narrative Writing, Creative Non-Fiction, and Neurofiction.
