Paris Interzone

The Sixth Annual Conference, co-organised by  Véronique Lane, Peggy Pacini, and Frank Rynne took place in Paris, hosted by The University of Chicago Center in Paris. The conference welcomed over 100 presenters, artists, students, scholars, and EBSN members in what has been our largest EBSN event to date! Focusing on the themes of Collaboration, Publication, and Translation the event featured keynote speakers Andrew Hussey and Ann Charters, as well as talks and performances by Jennifer Scappettone and Lydia Lunch. Other Paris highlights included an interactive Burroughs workshop hosted by Alexander Greiffenstern, performances by Steve Dalachinsky, Clive Matson, Eric Anderson with Michele Gazich and Ramuntcho Matta, and a panel featuring first hand accounts of the life of Herbert Huncke.

A special thank you to all who attended and to all of our event partners: Fondation UCP, Agora EA 7392 (Université de Cergy-Pontoise), CREA EA 370 (Université de Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense), David Bruce Centre for American Studies (Keele University), IMEC (Institut Mémoires de l’Edition Contemporaine), and the University of Chicago, University of Chicago Center in Paris.

Thank you to our official conference photographer, Michael Kellner, for the photos.
