Luke Walker

Luke Walker is currently teaching at the University of Sussex. His recent publications include

  • ‘Allen Ginsberg’s Blakean Albion’, in Comparative American Studies 11.3 (2013): 227-242.
  • ‘Allen Ginsberg’s “Wales Visitation” as a neo-Romantic response to Wordsworth’s “Tintern Abbey”‘, in Romanticism 19.2 (2013): 207-217.

Conference papers, presented at EBSN conferences and elsewhere, have covered various aspects of the relationship between the Beats and Romantic poetry, focusing in particular on the work of Allen Ginsberg, William Blake, William Wordsworth, and Bob Dylan.

Luke’s PhD, completed in 2014 at the University of Sussex, was entitled ‘William Blake and the 1960s: Counterculture and Radical Reception’.
