2015 Conference, Brussels, Belgium

conf final2Held at Université libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium, the Fourth Annual EBSN conference drew over 65 presenters and attendees for 4 days of presentations, performances, film screenings and dynamic conversation. Many thanks to Franca Bellarsi and the Université for hosting the event, to Franca, Polina Mackay and Oliver Harris for their work organizing the conference, and to all those in attendance who made this such a great event!

Anne WALDMAN (poet and performer, author of over forty books of poetry, and co-founder with Allen Ginsberg of the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University)

&

Daniel KANE (professor at U of Sussex and author, amongst others, of All Poets Welcome: The Lower East Side Poetry Scene in the 1960s)

The Brussels programme included a Performance and Poetry with Anne Waldman and others.

The background of the conference logo is “Round Yellow” by Robert La Vigne and comes from the excellent Wennesland Collection of Beat Art, housed at the University of Agder in Norway.
